At DiVita, we are in the people business serving hotel accommodations, not in the hotel business serving people. We don’t believe in hyping our services over the next hotel to get attention. Instead, we live by a few important guiding principles that, we hope, offer and deliver the level of service we’d expect when we’re the guests. We also believe that we are bonded by emotions and thus strive to create an ongoing dialogue with them through every sense. To achieve this end, we have instilled three fundamental principles into our culture: Guest Satisfaction, Associate Satisfaction and Shareholder Satisfaction.
We think of these as spokes in a wheel; it will not endure for any sustained period without any one nor if either spoke is stronger or weaker than the other two.
As the old adage goes, perception is everything, this is not true for us. Perceived value is only valid at arrival, real value is realized at departure. However, exceptional value is unforgettable, it is everything, it is the summation of the whole experience and it is derived from a sustained commitment to the price, service & quality relationship.
Routine self-assessment and accountability among all associates is paramount to the betterment of the team as well as each individual. Essentially, we are all motivated by wanting to be the best at what we do. Realizing our accomplishments and the reciprocating recognition is what drives our satisfaction. The most important task for the team members and especially its leaders is to support this philosophy everyday and in everyway.
Sustained profitability is a result of progressive thinking. Progress is not the idea of making profit; instead, it is the contribution to the industry which yields the natural benefit of long-term profit, this is not a coincidental matter. It embraces the ideology that views profit as a nutrient, not a thirst. It strives for maximum efficiencies through waste recognition before raising prices. Thus progressive thinking is the evolution of business, without it any business will ultimately die.
